  • Whole body assessment (motor development, postural alignment, sensory processing)

Lactation Evaluations

Individualized Therapy Services

  • Implementing treatment strategies and home programming to address challenges with breast or bottle-feeding.

  • Addressing the underlying skills for transitioning to solid foods and/or drinking from a cup/straw. Helping families to navigate other common concerns, including: picky eating, bottle refusal or new breastfeeding concerns.

  • Implementing strategies to facilitate postural alignment and symmetry, movement patterns, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and fine motor development. Feeding does not only happen in the mouth. It is a whole body experience.

  • Private breastfeeding consultations. Areas addressed may include: latch/positioning, sore/damaged nipples, low milk supply, milk over-supply, mastitis, ductal inflammation, engorgement, pumping, ensuring baby is getting “enough,” tethered oral tissues (TOTS), weaning and MORE!

Services Continued

  • I will collaborate with your dentist and/or ENT to determine whether a frenectomy is necessary based on a functional feeding evaluation. If warranted, we will develop a treatment plan pre and post procedure based on your baby’s individual needs.

  • When babies are discharged from the NICU, there is often a waiting period before longer term therapy services begin through the hospital or Regional Center. I am here to bridge that gap by supporting your baby and family during the “waitlist” period. Let’s make sure you have the strategies/tools to ensure both feeding and development are off a great start!
