Elizabeth (“Lizzie”) Pluskalowski, MS OTR/L, SWC, IBCLC

Lizzie has been a practicing occupational therapist since 2010 and solely dedicated to pediatrics since 2011. She currently holds her Advance Practice in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, or Intervention (SWC) by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.

While working with infants and children in the hospital setting, Lizzie saw a large need for more feeding & swallowing providers who are also well-versed in supporting breast/chest-feeding families. This inspired her to pursue further education and clinical training/mentorship in lactation. Lizzie obtained her credentials as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Lizzie has experience working in a variety of settings, including 3 major children’s hospitals (inpatient and outpatient), early intervention programs, and private practice. Over the years, Lizzie has taken numerous advanced trainings on pediatric feeding/swallowing, tethered oral tissues (TOTS), neurodevelopmental treatment, manual therapy techniques, sensory processing, torticollis, “picky eating,” and breastfeeding. Lizzie completed intensive inpatient and outpatient dysphagia mentorships at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach. She works with both medically complex and typically developing infants/children with feeding difficulties.
